Best meal in town by far. I’ve eaten barbecue all over the world and this was right up there with the best. We were also very happy with the number of and type of sides as well as beverage options. This small family business is worth supporting. Enjoy a great meal

Meat is slow smoked for 24+ hours. It is so tender and has very good flavor. The coleslaw is delicious and has a good consistency and flavor as well! Highly recommend to anybody eating in Nauvoo. I had burnt ends two days in a row and i’d do it again. I also had ribs and brisket. The ribs come covered in a very sweet bbq sauce. Brisket comes dry. Burnt ends come in a different bbq sauce than the ribs. All very delicious!

Legit BBQ right across the street from the Nauvoo Temple! The brisket was so tender and flavorful, I didn't even touch the sauce my whole meal. Excellent service too. The owner is also an accomplished photographer so you get to see a lot of his photos decorating the restaurant too!

I’ve eaten BBQ all over the country and this place is right up there with the best. The burnt end were perfect and tender. The funeral potatoes were perfect and full of flavor. The cornbread (and I lucked out and got a corner piece) was perfect. This is certainly the best place to eat in Nauvoo. We tried all the other places. We had a pleasant chat with the owners who are just wonderful. You must go here.

Call the sheriff! Real Texas BBQ has been stolen and moved to Nauvoo! Check out the smoke ring and bark on this mouthwatering brisket!!! Incredible fall-off-the-bone pork ribs and solid sides - we especially liked the funeral potatoes, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw and cornbread. Cans of soda were cheap and consistent. They also have larger and fancier Sprecker sodas and less-fancy juice boxes for the kids. Now for the pro-tip: if they have mudslide brownies up front you NEED three! One for now, one for later and one for the amazing sister missionary you’ll run into later. Trust me. Best brownie we’ve ever had!!!!

We really enjoyed Fireside! It has a very relaxed feel to it. The food was delicious. They didn’t have any pulled pork that night, which my wife was bummed about, but their brisket was phenomenal. It was cut thick, with good tenderness and flavor. The chef/owner was very polite and helped us feel at home. If you’re in Nauvoo, we highly recommend Fireside!

Seriously! The best brisket we’ve ever eaten! It had a great smoke ring and flavor- so tender you could cut it with a plastic fork! Mashed potatoes and signature salad paired perfectly! Very highly recommended!
